Interior trim?

Was or is there any trim pieces on the inside that run up the sides of the windshield ? I have 3 holes on each side that look like factory holes? I was thinking if there was something there, I could run power wires behind and out of sight!

Yes, there is a plastic trim that goes from the top, down to that rubber bump out by the black screw on the tan dash tab, and it curves with the windshield where that red wire is. Both sides.

It depends on the year as earlier TJ's did not have any trim there. Not sure what the year span was.

Mines a 98, and there are 3 holes nicely spaced on each side. That's why I figured something was supposed to go there.

I've never seen those posted anywhere for sale. Your best bet is to look in salvage yard.

There should be a square plastic trim piece against the windshield frame that acts a the seal for the door gasket. Is that what we are talking about. Later Jeeps I believe had a trim piece on the inside where his finger is pointed.

My old 97 had them as well, and my 06 does too. I think someone posted a Ebay link. Shouldn't be too hard to find there, or like the others said, find a wrecking yard, you'd be surprised at what you can find.

The thing that later TJs have that earlier ones don't is trim around the inside of the A pillar, plus across the top of the windshield frame. This is one side:

The ones on my 2001 are like the eBay posting Ixxtsy put up above (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5337789113&icep_item=122321287353)...except mine are both broken at the top. My question is, has anyone ever put the later (2003 - 2006) trim like glwood linked to (https://www.quadratec.com/p/omix-ada/driver-side-windshield-molding-03-06-tj) in a 1997 to 2002 TJ? I like the look of the later trim and, from what I can tell, they seem sturdier as well.
