I have been trying really hard to get my 05 wrangler back on the road. It's actually my 18 y.o. sons daily driver. Being down a vehicle Is a real PITA. Anyway. I am back to PCM being bad. I did send the PCM out and it was said to have had a software failure and was repaired without opening the case. I am now thinking I got hoodwinked. I think it is bad and has a hardware failure. I really don't want to send it back to the same place again. I am thinking of getting another Pcm and am asking for suggestions. I know from this fourm wranglerfix is top notch but according to his website it would be 14 to 17 days. I really need it back on the road, like yesterday. Any suggestions. If you think I am wrong, say so. Check out my previous post 2005 tj no crank no start. Thanks

You need to at least get Mark (@Wranglerfix) on the phone and get his opinion and advice on this. He truly is the expert in regard to these PCMs, and if you don't at least talk to him then you're just being plain stupid. I am sorry, I say that with all due respect, but please, please, please do yourself a favor and talk to the guy.
If you went with FS1 (as many make the mistake of doing) there is a chance you did get hoodwinked.
I'm betting if you called Mark (which you should) he can get something for you faster.

Thanks for the reply Chris! No offense taken. I will try to get in contact with him tomorrow. I am new to this forum and trying to get a handle on it. I did heed everyone's warning and stayed away from FS1. I did not know if I could say where I sent it, if it would be against some rule. Thanks again!

There is a rule you have to say...so others can avoid them. I really believe one value of a forum is to enlighten the membership to bad vendors. Marks reputation is solid here, and we break TJs like Oreos in milk.

So be enlightened then. I sent my pcm out to G7 computers for a 24 hour turn around. Probably out a couple hundred bucks, but I did get the pcm back in a couple days.

We had a similar conversation last night here with a very accomplished member. That's a lot of why he's accomplished..he's went through a lot.
