Trying to find the sound to the thud/ popping noise. Did dry test, checked all front end connections. New axle, new u joints etc. when front tires are off the ground and rotating tires getting a lot of noise from what appears the front differential, when rotating the front driveshaft can turn it about 3/4 of a turn of backlash.
Is this normal?

Edit- never mind I’m dumb, I didn’t know the previous owner installed a lunchbox locker in the front….So for the post lol
