Rough idle and rpm take a few seconds to come down. Worse when cold. All started after I had to take my trans out to fix a leak in the bellhousing. Also at the time I fixed a leak in the valve cover gasket and put a new mopar IAC & TPS (TPS about a month before all this) in. The reason for the for the new IAC was the rough idle. The idle settles down to 750 sounds rough and then it increases a little but less than 1000 and sounds fine and then back down to 750 and goes back and forth. When it’s at 750 it’s a little rough and somethings shake things in the jeep engine or body area until it increases. Now with the New IAC when it’s cold, you press on the gas and it takes a little time for it to come down back to idle. Any suggestion??

Fuel Injectors new installed about a year ago
New Plugs about 3 years ago
Cant hear any vacuum leaks but haven't gone around testing all areas.

You can send your PCM to @Wranglerfix for testing and at least eliminate that as the cause of your issues.

Might want to check your PCM connectors and make sure they're tight and no bad pins.

As endemic as the PCM issues with the 05-06s are...I'd start there.

Might also want to do a smoke test for vacuum leaks.

@Fstbiker You can send your ocm into us and we will run it in our jeep for you. You can also call me to discuss in further detail if you’d like.
