Good afternoon my friends. I have sprung a transmission leak on my 2002 TJ Sahara. I noticed this leak when I was about 30 miles into an exploration sesh, but luckily I had 2 quarts of ATF in the trunk left over from a previous tranny pan upgrade to get home. I began to look for the leak when I got home and it seems that the leak is coming out of the hole where the transmission line nut screws into the transmission case (circled below).
When the car was running, it looked like the fluid was being pushed out of the hole in pulses almost. After I cut the engine off the leak seemed to completely stop flowing. But unluckily, I woke up to a big ol piss puddle of ATF under her the next day. I'm not too sure if this is a leak from the actual line itself or if its coming from something inside the tranny such as a bad seal. If somebody with more experience than me could offer a little insight it would be very much appreciated!
(p.s. I am about 99% sure that it wasn't runoff from somewhere else down there)
