Jeep Won't Start From Ignition Switch

I have a Late 97 TJ Sahara 4LI6, key turns lights turn on, but engine doesn't. Starts with screwdriver to starter spark method and holds no problem, New Battery, pin from switch is perfect and turns strong. Connection in box and column seem strong. Kind of lost could use some suggestions please, thank you.

Just to verify, the ignition switch actuator pin is not broken? Your symptom is common when that part breaks.

Since IF I read your posting above correctly; "pin from switch is perfect and turns strong" means the pin between the key tumbler and ignition switch is good.
It appears you have looked inside the column; what is the condition of the ignition switch harness?
Sounds like the ignition switch contacts are bad....
