I have a kargo master congo cage with the full basket and yakima crossbars. I put it on almost 7 years ago. It is starting to rust pretty bad at all the framing connections. I used to use it all the time but have another vehicle to haul stuff around these days. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not it's worth selling? How much would someone pay for it? I'd kind of rather sell it to someone that can use it before it gets too old, but if it's not worth much I might just keep it.

Did you live in the Rust Belt with that Congo Cage? Mine looked like that but I'm in road-salt county. I don't think that company had good coatings from reviews and experience. After I took mine off and cut it up I realized that there was lots of life left in it despite the interior and exterior rust. Pretty thick walls. Wished I had kept it and refinished it now.

The jeep was in San Diego for a few years, and in south florida the last five years. I work on the beach so its parked across the street from the ocean all day. that cage has been solid ever since I put it on, but its definitely aging quicker in the salty air.
