Keep or ditch BPEs

I am getting ready to put in new shocks. It looks like the PO installed Bar Pin Eliminators front and rear. Is it easily reversible? Is it better to keep the BPEs or go back to stock?

I was never personally a fan of BPEs and never installed them.

Do you know if anything was removed to install them that needs to be replaced? Or if I just take them off will it be ready for stock style?

Are your new shocks sized properly for your lift?

Should be, they are from the same company that the lift is from. BDS 2”. They are a newer style. I am not ready to spend a lot on them right now as things will change but I definitely need new ones.

It's reversible as long as the OEM mounting points are still good. Many times the rear upper shock mount nutserts have been destroyed while previously removing the shocks. BPE's offer a solution to that problem. Check first to see if that is why the PO used them.

I've been considering BPEs as a way to better center my shock travel, as with my new springs I have over 6" uptravel and 3.7" down. I see nothing wrong with them if they're used for a good purpose such as that. But if they're installed just because somebody thought eliminating the bar pins was solving a problem, they can go.

If i remember right front bpe's make you run a shorter shock while rear bpe's allow a slightly longer one?

I'd be tempted to leave the rear bpe's if that is the case.
