My wife and I started a kitchen remodel today. Actually, its more of a first floor reno, as we are combining the kitchen with another room that gets very little use. Demo is first, and holy hell, my house is a MESS...

Here are the before pics. Classic 90's

And the plan.

The center island is not painted like shown though. It will be a dark brown quarter saw white oak.

This will be a life changer! :)

Can they be recycled to make a workbench?

When we did ours I made my wife tell where everything would go. Silverware, blender, etc. wanted to be sure we had it all covered. Looks good

You’re about to have a hell of an excuse for Jeep mods, this is a good investment!
After my wheel spacer fell off this weekend, she said something about not really trusting them anymore...I didn't mention that she had no idea they were there before one failed (or more precisely, I failed).

I mentioned that some Hutchinson beadlocks would "fix" that problem... At 450+ a wheel. She only said, "what, are we joining the wheel of the month club now?".

I think that's tacit agreement, right?

Love the white cabinets. That's a classic choice that will never get old, or go out of style!

The work looks great so far. My wife started to complain about the jeep mods when I didn’t finish the main floor work. I went to pay people and they f’ed up all the work - so now I have all my planned work plus them screwing it up (and tearing out the crap they did).

We have dealt with this contractor before. He built our barn, did a bunch of work for my parents, etc. When we were scouting them out, I went to look at a remodel job, mid stream. I wanted to see how they worked, when they knew it would be covered up.

They are good, they care, and I trust them. I didn't even shop this one around.
