Hi all... I just bought my first Jeep. 2006 Unlimited. I want to install cool looking LED headlights. I’ve seen some blue ones online. Anybody can help me figure out which ones and if they even sell them for an 06 TJ. Thanks!

Anyone can say anything about anything, doesn’t make it true though.
These kinds of things are regulated on a state, not federal level, meaning the term “department of transportation approved” doesn’t hold much water without listing which state.

Hello from another new Jeep Wrangler owner(2000). As a former LEO, I can tell you in Minnesota only emergency vehicles can use blue lights. Most states have their statutes online now so you can probably research what lights are legal in your state.
I do not know about the states law regarding blue lights, but for searching and getting your vehicle parts I do suggest:
extreme terrain website (google it)
choose your vehicle and it'll list all the parts/accessories for your own vehicle.

Just wanted to tell you that the bag in your profile photo looks so confused! What did you do to it? LOL.
also for a suggestion, be aware of color output for headlights. years back i fell into the bright white lights for my first car back when i thought painting the interior was cool. on rainy nights in rural areas driving on black pavement sucked as the ashpalt absorbed nearly all the light output and made it more difficult to see than the original oem lights did as they had a bit more of a yellow hue.
as for led headlights i only have experience with 2 brands. trucklite and jw speaker. although i cant comment on longevity of the jw speaker, both are very nice lights.
the trucklite held up to hitting a deer with the front corner of my truck and has been running strong a good 5-6 years total but both headlights have what looks like sand in the bottom of the housings (i dont do water crossings or any muddy off roading with the truck and the light output is much more than the sealed beams were + visibility in rain is great and my only complaint with them is the rare ocassion in the winter when we get sticky snow coming down the snow will accumulate on the lenses as i dont have the heated option which basically blocks all light output.
as for the new to me jw speakers on the wrangler they look nice, have great output and light color has a mix of blue/yellow and white. the primary color i see from them going down the road is white but when standing at the front of the vehicle looking at the lights while on you can see the different color hues.
over trucklite and jw i would recommend the jw speaker lights but with anything price point is generally gonna be your main deciding factor.

That is why those "blue blocker" driving glasses are there. Not just the cheap crap on the TV. My father got special $400 ones prescribed by his eye doctor

I’ve seen some cool looking lights with a blue halo around. I think they’re daytime running lights. Anyone know these?
Most of the colored ones you’re going to find are going to be really low quality as they tend to be designed for people who care more about what something looks like than how it actually works. And they’d still be illegal. And look silly.

Since you live in NY, one thing to consider when going with LED headlights is whether or not you need "heated" or "non-heated" lights. There's no clear answer here, but just be aware that unlike conventional headlights, LED lights will not keep ice or snow from forming on the lenses, unless they're heated. FWIW, I run a non-heated JW Speaker and haven't had any major issues to speak of. Of course we don't normally get extreme cold weather for long where I live.
