Just came across a few vids reviewing this handheld.

Doesn't have the power to be a full replacement for a hard-wired unit, but seems like a good alternative for those who would otherwise buy a handheld.

Anyone using one?

Handhelds iteratively do not have the power or antenna gain of a hardwired unit. That being said if you are just going to communicate with people close in your group it will work fine. Big fan of Midland radios. Personally I have a Midland MXT500 with a high gain antenna and a pair of no name FRS handhelds for guests.

I'd agree.. 5 watts max power. But most handhelds cap at 1 or 1.5 watts.

I have a Midland mxt275, so I don't need it.. just thought it interesting
