I know discussion on this exist, but I don't current discussions addresses my issues exactly. 2004 jeep tj.
P0301. Cylinder 1 misfire.
I've installed new plugs, switched injector and plug location with another Cylinder (problem stayed with Cylinder 1). I ran a compression test. C1 was 30, the rest were in acceptable range. I also adjusted to TDC and pressurized. Seemed to have small amount of leak through exhaust. I used seafoam in the tank, & 2 treatments through the a vacuum hose a couple days apart. CEL went off but only for a day or partial day. I've only had the jeep about a month and have always ran ethynal except last week. Last week with non-ethynal fuel the CEL has stayed off the longest. However, my on board diagnostic still gives the p0301 code even with the CEL off. I checked Cylinder 1 pressure again this morning, 150. Am I at least making progress in the right direction? Still seems to decelerate rough. Is that a jeep thing or another issue? More seafoam?
Thanks
