My defrost switch does be on while I am driving but shut off when I start holding break but when I press the switch on, my gauge loses power and shut off until I release my finger from pressing on it then the gauge power right back up. is this a common problem? is this relay problem? has this problem happen to anyone else?

this is the switch that is on while I am driving, and this is what I am pressing, and it shut off my Instrument Gauge Cluster

No- I had somehow tapped my rear view camera power from the defrost circuit- and a TJ has some, somewhat non intuitive circuitry ….and that was taking the power and sending it to ground via the Hbl circuit or the cluster-
Lesson- be careful where you to tap on in these. I had tapped on at the fuse panel behind the glove box.
No harm was done but I was stumped.
