I have this mystery wiring harness under by glove department dash on the passenger side. I thought it may be for a footwell light but it is not long enough to reach where one would be screwed into the dash. It has two wires, a yellow and a pink/white. I have a 97 TJ SE. Any ideas on what this is for?

I believe you are right. I didn't realize that the footwell light had a wire that ran off of it like shown in the below picture. I pulled a light off of a 2000 TJ that is different. I suppose I could rewire it to this harness or buy a 97/98 light.
