I have a 2005 LJ and am looking for springs (front and rear) to put my lift at 3- 3.5 inches. I would like to error on the higher side of 3 inches rather than less than 3 inches. I guess what I'm saying is I'm afraid a 3 inch spring might net me 2.5 lift. I have been looking at the Teraflex 3 inch springs and the RockJock 3 inch springs. I already have a set of 4 inch Skyjacker springs I found used but am afraid those will be to much lift. I have no plans on running 35 inch tires at this time but may at some point later. I will keep the 4 inch skyjackers for that occasion later. I just think the Jeep will look awkward with 33 inch tires and 4 inch lift, maybe I'm wrong. Any advice appreciated.

Hard to give an answer because every Jeep weighs differently.
If you already have the 4 inch springs, put them in and see.
LJs are heavier than TJs and you might get lucky on one end or the other.

Yea I forgot to add that it is pretty well stock, Rubi rocker gaurds and a 33 inch tire on the rear spare tire mount. Manual 6 speed.

I currently have 33's on my LJ with a 4" suspension and 1" body lift. It doesn't really look awkward. I am in the process of building for 35's. If you think you will go 35's then don't bother with the lower lift. You'll just end up replacing it all. Ask me how I know : ) If you think 33's will be good enough the the OME 2.5" and a 1" body lift will be perfect.

Yours does look good! looks like you have more weight hanging on the front than I do, maybe the rear as well. What suspension lift do you have?

Currently the Jeep weighs about 4200lbs. I've tried not to let the weight get out of control and cut it where I could. The suspension is a mixture of brands. The springs are Rancho 3.5" (which gave me 4"), Rancho 5000x shocks, Savvy control arms, JKS front and rear track bars and an Antirock for the front sway bar. The body lift is a 1" from Rokmen. I would highly recommend a body lift as it really makes for better uptravel in the rear. Without the BL I would have had add more bumpstop to keep the track bar from hitting the floorboard. I will eventually upgrade the springs to the Rockjocks but that will take a lot more work to make use of their length.

Previously I had been running the OME ZJ/LJ lift with Rancho shocks. It gave me a solid 2.5" of suspension lift that combined with the BL cleared my 33's fine. Even with a 3/4" raised skid I was able to run the stock driveshaft on that setup. I was also able to retain the factory control arms. I hight recommend that setup for 33's.

Thanks a bunch for the details on your set up, this is the kind of info/advice I am looking for.(y)
