Need some help with a CEL. Had the code P0740 on my 2002 TJ. The engine has higher RPMs at highway speeds (formally 3000RPM at 70mph but now it sits at ~3250RPM at 70mph) Most forum post I found said to replace the TCC Solenoid and make sure the trans fluid is at a good level and running on ATF+4. Took the Jeep to a reputable shop and had the TCC replaced and the trans fluid topped off and the code went away but shortly after came back and the engine is still revving higher than it should. Other shops who I have talked to just recommended replacing the whole transmission but everywhere I've read about these 3-speed autos says they should be able to last almost as long as the motor does and replacing it at only ~150,000 miles seems a bit odd.
