Need help with fuel delivery problem: Jeep shutting off

Thinking maybe a weak fuel pump, just don't want to keep throwing parts at it.
FP was 45 with needle bouncing a lot.
Please help before I push it off a cliff

I installed the ractronic gauge that @macleanflood suggested and my fuel pressure is a steady 49 psi. No bouncing around. Hate to suggest it, but doesn’t sound good for your pump. What pressure do you get when it fails to start or dies?

My fuel pump would stall on the bottom third of a tank when all it would put out was 30ish PSI.

Replaced it with a Rock Auto sourced Brute Power and no issues. It's a cheap Chinese pump so YMMV. $80 was a risk I was willing to take especially since I can drop the tank and reinstall in less than an hour.
