Just sold my Camaro and bought my first Jeep this week. I found a deal on 2006 TJ with 6cyl/6spd with only 63k original miles. I have a '13 Silverado Z71 for my DD, so this will be for fun. I'm completely new to Jeeps, so any advice on what to do first would be appreciated. I have been thumbing through the threads on all kinds of stuff such as OPDA issues. I can't tell if this is lifted or stock height, the springs look normal with no coil spacers, and there is no body lift pucks. It is on 31s though.

Nice, tough to tell but looks to be lifted to me but what do I know.

I have an 05 TJ on 2.5 OME lift w/ 110k. I bought an OPDA but havent installed it yet. The other thing to look out for is rear main seal on the 4.0's I replaced mine at 109k.

Also in Wmass.

Woohoo! Welcome to the forum. I too owned a 69 Camaro and a 2013 Camaro (both SS models) at one point.
 
Appears / LQQKS to be lifted, mine is stock with 31's & 16's - big difference in the wheel well space !!!
Change the toot toot or lack of toot horn, & headlights .............

Can you guys give me some information on wheels? I see a few of you have black steelies... I wanted to run some black D-window 15s, not sure what to use for backspacing so they stick out a little. There is spacers on the wheels now that I don't want to have to use with the new wheels

Hey, not sure the actual BS. Wheels are 15in steel, I forget the manufacturer...got them off craiglist with the tires. I think mine are out to far but that is just me. Ideal I hear is 3.75-4 I think but see what others say and what you can find on the site. A ton of info here.

FYI-I think the tire selection for 16 is limited, be sure to research first if you go that route. You need a larger tire to fill the space, 31 inch tire is still 31 no matter the wheel size, just less sidewall.

Thanks for the pics, good looking wheels. I am looking at sets now and trying to decide if I should 33x12.5 or stick with the 31x 10 that is on it now. I measured the coil springs and found that it has 2" of lift. I think with the new wheels with correct back spacing I can run 33s no problem. I plan on using the jeep for mostly cruising on roads, with some mild off road trips here and there so I don't know if I am better of with the 31s
 
I have 33x12.50x15’s on mine, I’m thinking about 32x11.50x15’s when I need to replace them, this would be what I call a betweener size for some off road more on road use.
