In my build up to a supercharger I purchased a 62mm throttle body from Boosted Tech. I have it installed and my idle is now at 1500rpm. I am using the original idle air control sensor and my vaccum tubles look good, no leaks or cracks.
Playing around with throttlebody, I noticed that there is a gap of around 1/8 inch between the butterfly and the screw that I believe it should rest on when the valve is closed. It appears that my cables are so tight, the butterfly valve does not close all the way. If I disconnect my cables, the butterfly comes to rest on the screw and my idle goes back to normal, which is around 750rpm.
Is this a thing that happens? Can the cables be adjusted? My youtube searches are coming up empty on if these cables can be adjusted on a TJ.
Below are pictures of the gap I mentioned with the cables in connected (picture #1). And then, with no gap and normal idle rpm with the cables removed (picture #2). I only have the two cables as shown in picture #3 which I took before I swapped out the TB.
