Here is the video of our group on a couple obsticals at Sand Mines. The sites were b.e.a.u.tiful. There is a lot of history in these mountains.

We spent Friday on Lake Norris and Saturday at Sand Mines. Lake Norris is so clean you can see 10-15' down from the surface. The Sand Mines were used to get sand to build the Lake Norris Dam with construction stated in 1933 and finished in 1936. The AVERAGE depth is 75'. The pulleys will still turn very smoothly without squeaking.

That's what one of the guys we ride with who lives about a mile from there said. Grinch was a lot easier this time than previous times. The mud was from the rain shower that popped up for about 30 minutes on our way out.
