Just replaced my shift solenoid due to slipping in gears.
For some reason now it won’t really even go into gear. It will only go into first gear but it just revs then pops in for a quick second and then I’m back out.
Did I mess up the shift arm in the valve body when I put it back in? I have the shift linkage correct.
Just doesn’t make sense why it won’t go into nay gear now.
Also, it seemed really hot for only trying to drive it for a a minute and I saw light smoke coming from the transmission when I crawled back under it.
I found this hose that connects into the transmission but doesn’t go anywhere. Could this be the problem?
