This is a project Jeep I purchased back in 2023. Originally, it was a red and black Jeep TJ, but after months of work it transformed into the green Jeep you see now. The restoration took about three months and involved everything from sandblasting rust off the frame to stripping down all the parts. I also had to tackle a lot of wiring—installing gauges, redoing the light wiring, and even building a custom fiberglass dash. In November 2024, the #4 piston skirt broke, so I replaced it, honed the cylinders, and installed new bearings and seals.

Specs:
4.0 inline 6
4 inch lift kit
32 inch tires
Custom Dash
Autometer Gauges

What do I plan on doing next?
I would like to do the front and rear diff next by adding lockers and doing a super 35 kit, when I have to money so I am able to put 35s and minimize breaking a axle. I am aware that the dana 35 is not the best axle to put 35s on but I don't wheel to hard, and I drive it pretty slow on the trails and really think about what I am doing before I do it. I would also like to do a tummy tuck as well which I will more than likely do before I do the axles.

After I did all of this I finally was able to find time to tackle the gauges and dash. I made a custom dash out of fiberglass. Using wood to make a form for the fiberglass. I plan to make revisions later this year but for now this is what I got. The gauges are autometer gauges. I replaces the oil, water and fuel sender only and tapped into the speedo sender by the transfer case for the speedo.

This is the end of the Build, if you have a questions or inquires about the build feel free to ask.

I love that, would you mind sharing the paint you used?

The paint I used was Custom Coat federal standard color #34094 olive drab T70 Urethane spray-on truck bed liner. So far it has held up pretty well I have had for over a year now and it hasn't scratched or chipped. Even after I have had tree limbs scrape the side of the jeep when going through tight trails. I even rubbed the top of my door against a tree pretty hard and the paint didn't chip or get damaged. For the under side I did use black but other than that most of it was done in OD green.

It looks great, how much of the bed liner did it take you to do the body?

Thank you, I believe it took a total of 3 gallons although we used a different linear that was a little cheaper for the black paint/underside. But to do the green we did 2 coats pretty much as it says to cover till it all looks the same so about 2 gallons only for the green to cover everything. Although if you or anyone else wants to do it make sure nothing has a sharp edge as the paint doesn't do to well with sharp edges but just a little sanding the edges should fix that.
