OK, I've read a bunch of threads on this error code and know to get a Mopar sensor when I decide to replace it.
My question is, what is the harm in not replacing it? This is my teenage sons car, so it goes to and from work and school and that's about it. He says it is running fine.
He gets terrible gas mileage, but he has 33" tires so I figure that is the reason.
Anyway, just curious if there are no real issues as a result of having that code, does it need to fixed?

Does it have a rough/high/surging idle? Does it come back after clearing the code?

If yes to any of these questions, I would fix it. It may not be the sensor, so before you buy one make sure the TPS is not shorting to ground by doing some simple tests with a multi meter.
