Hello all, i have 2 codes popping up on my Jeep, need to get it smogged so I’m just checking to see if anyone here has any input on these. I know google does a lot but some engine codes can be stupid little things with specific vehicles and in my case a Jeep Wrangler.

First one is P0155.

Second one is P0441(pending), P.O. said he replaced a valve or solenoid and it didn’t fix it, i noticed the gas cap wasn’t sealing very well so i replaced it and i haven’t driven the Jeep enough to see if the code has come back up.

P0155 means that your oxygen sensor in bank 2 sensor 1 is bad.

Replace it with the corresponding O2 sensor from this thread: The Official Jeep Wrangler TJ Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

Don't use any other one than the one specified in that thread, otherwise your CEL won't go away.

For the P0441 code, that one can be tricky to diagnose, but common fixes include:
  • Common Jeep fix - Replace Leak Detection Pump / LDP
  • Repair damaged EVAP lines or canister
  • Repair open or short in voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
  • Repair open in PCM purge command circuit
  • Replace purge Solenoid
  • Replace vacuum switch
  • Repair restriction in Evap line or canister or solenoid
  • Repair resistance in purge connector
  • Replace PCM
  • Replace gas cap (use an OE Mopar replacement gas cap)

Yep, for P0441 the first thing the mechanic should have checked for was the bad gas cap. Hope that was it!
