I've read thru the postings on the P0441 error and have tried everything listed (replaced the gas cap (twice), replaced the canister, the purge valve, checked the electrical connections to the purge valve, inspected vacuum lines for cracks and cut off the last inch where possible) I have yet to blow out the lines with compressed air. I did find a lot of carbon granules in the lines when I changed the canister and purge valve. It's been tripping the CE light on and off for about a year, but it's getting more often. I've noticed it's more common in warm weather (over 60 degrees F), with a fuller fuel tank. The CE light will often come on if I have to stop quickly. Almost like fuel is coming back up the lines to the front of the engine. Like when the light turns yellow and you don't want to run a red light... It seems to happen more often with a full tank and less often when I run Shell gasoline. Never comes on while driving on the highway, but will come on around town, especially when I have to stop for a light. I very rarely have the smell of gas in the car, but if I do, the light will come on. It doesn't come on if I run the AC. That leads me to think it's a vacuum problem, but I don't have a vacuum map to troubleshoot it. Anyone have an idea if the are check valves in the fuel or vacuum lines which might be sticky after all these years.
