seat was in normal position then i went to pull it up to tumble, and it wouldn’t tumble. now it’s stuck in the upright position (passenger would be upright and bending forward to the dash if you want to picture it) ???

Reach underneath it and grab the round bar that spans the rails. You should be able to twist it by hand and release the mechanism. Once you get the seat forward you should be better able to diagnose the issue. Hopefully it's jammed and will start working again after you free it up.
