I have a 97 tj with a 6cyl manual pcm that was transplanted from a 97 Cherokee xj! If the pcm is bad do I need to replace it with a 97 xj or can I get one for tj with the same engine and trans! I’m getting tps sensor A circuit high imput replaced sensor but nothing tech says it’s the pcm and told me it would cost twice as much if he did it for something I can replace in 10 min

@Wranglerfix can test the PCM for you to determine if it is indeed bad or not.

A lot of things are different on the Cherokee XJ 4.0s. I'm not sure if the PCM was one of them, but @Wranglerfix might know about that as well.

You can swap it but the gauges won’t work. We can attempt to repair your pcm. Are there any codes the pcm is showing?
