HELP!!!

I'm having issues with the plumbing in my house. My drains had been running slow so I dumped Drano down the shower in my bathroom and the tub in the other bathroom. Now NONE of my drains are working. I can't flush my toilet or anything else.

I've got to dig thru the snow and find my washout spot. Do I get a electric snake and try to snake the system out? Of could this be my septic tank is full and backed up? I REALLY don't want to have to try and find the lid of the tank right now. It's been about 10 years since I'd had my tank pumped out.

I also have a wet spot on my carpet right next to where it goes into the kitchen. At first I thought someone had spilled something there but it keeps being wet. How could I have a leak in the floor?

Do you have a slab foundation?
If so, the wet spot could be from a leaking supply or drain line that was run through the slab.

I assume you looked at the ceiling above the wet spot to ensure that you don't have a leaking roof, or a leaking supply/drain from the upper floor (if applicable).

It's a manufactured home if that helps any. Single story and there isn't any leak from the ceiling.

It has the normal 3 concrete runners that it's set on. They did a pit set when the house was set in place.

Here is the wet spot on the floor next to the kitchen.

And there doesn't seem to be any water anywhere else near it.

But my main issue is all the drains being backed up.

Find the clean out closest to the septic tank. Chances are it's clogged right at the turn down as it dropped into the main tank.

Dug out the washout and it's full at it so yes I think you're correct Bob.

I guess I'm going to rent a snake.

10 years is a long time between pump outs. I’d snake it first and see if that works. If not then it’s time to dig out the covers and pump. If you do not have one make a detailed map of the openings for future reference. I pump the tanks in my rentals every 3 years. My main issues are with tenants flushing disposable wipes and grease.

Hopefully it's just a clog at the turn out as it drops in the tank. Worst case, the tank needs pumped.

Of course, none of that addresses the wet carpet issue.
Out of curiosity, any chance that there is a supply line located under that spot?
You could have a pinhole leak that is spraying up at the underside of the floor.

Then use "Roebic" in the tank - religiously. I once went 10 years between pumpouts - the guy said "Why are you pumping this? Its perfect!".

If it's clogged at the baffle you can try to use a long stick to break it up.

That or jamb a garden hose down as far as it will go and give it a full power blast. That worked on mine.

I rented a 50' snake and seems to have cleared the line.
Doing a load of laundry right now to test it out.
Come spring I'll get the spetic tank pumped.

Well with GIRLS I guess this happens but I'm not sure how or why.
I found hair bands and clips and other hair items as I was cleaning out the drain.
Just doesn't make sense to me but I don't have long hair.

You can also try one of these, just be careful where you use it, you don't want water or sewage coming back into the home.

You need to be careful when you use a cable machine when to cable into septic tank. If the tank is 20' away measure out 20' and mark your cable then add the distance for the riser's. You don't want to go too far if you get too much cable into the tank and it will get tangled on its self and then you climbing into the tank to untangle the snake to get it back out.

Do you have a way to get under the home?

@WestCoastDan makes a valid point it is possible you have a leak under the home spraying up, we are assuming the piping is under the home and not in the attic.

Do you know if the home is piped in copper or PEX ?

Is the wet spot cold or warm?

I know you said there is no plumbing in the area, is there a vent or any other roof penetration near this area.

Yea we don't deal a lot with Septic Tanks here in the city but home it mountains has a Septic, and we pump about every 7 years or so.
