Pockets in LJ Soft Top?

What are these pockets on the rear of my jeep top? I thought they were for the soft top support or to go on the roll bar, but that didn't work. Any clues?

I usually hide my joints in there, but the ones in the soft top window.

Yup, mine didn't originally have the inserts when I got it. When I would take all the windows out, those rear flaps would keep coming undone and flapping in the breeze. I found a used soft top that came with those plastic inserts. They help to keep those flaps steady.

I bought a replacement insert from Bestop. I think they sent me one for a JK or JL, but a little trimming, and I was good to go.
