Problem with New Blinkers

Recently, I cut my factory flares, and they look awesome. Since I cut off the blinker that is on the side of the flare, I ordered a set of 3/4" LED lights off amazon. They look fine, but they only work when the headlights are off.

I have LED Halos, and when either the halos or headlights are on, the side blinkers don't work. But when the halos and headlights are completely off, the side blinkers work just fine.

Before I cut my flares, the side blinkers would work no matter if the headlights were on. It's not the end of the world, just an annoyance I'd like to try and figure out. Any ideas?

The side marker lights have an alternating ground. Since LED lights only work with power flowing one way, that's the reason they don't work when you turn the lights on (- becomes +, and + becomes -).
