Hey guy's, I was looking over the TJ a bit better today, in the light, LOL. I found some stuff I am curious what is possibly missing or if anything is missing.

This first one is an easy one, I just don't know what the missing strap is supposed to look like, anyone have a pic?

This is not missing, just curious what it's purpose is?

I need a knob for my temp control. Anyone have a pic of the back of the one I would need. Here is a pic of my dash and also what knob was on it, but it doesn't turn anything and just falls right off.

In between the two hoses right above the plug, you can see a blurry hole. It is threaded and there are about 4 or so in the head that I don't know what went there. It appears something was there at one time.

This box on the driver side. Is there supposed to be a hose that goes to that big hole on the end? If so, where would it run too?

This hose is sticking up and has some sort of weird cap on it. What does it go to?

Last but probably not least. LOL I know this is to my AC, but is it just the bleed off valve and it's missing the cap? I haven't even tried the AC yet. LOL To cold outside to turn on the ac. LOL

First there is no limiting strap the hinge prevents over travel but you can put a strap on there. Those bolts are just for the hinge to have something to strike (it’s a heavy thing after all).

Second you pull on to bring the seat forward so someone can get in the back. Your passenger side should have it too.

Third/fourth Quadratec should have replacement OEM style knobs.

Not too sure about the rest, the black box does not look familiar to me but mine is a 2000 and I’m out of town away from it sadly so I can’t look. Can’t really help with much under the hood at the moment, sorry.

Thanks, that info helps. I am very new to Wranglers so I have no clew on what is supposed to be there and what not. :D

I ordered the knob from Quadratec. Luckily I won't need to take it off of heat for anytime soon. LOL

Those two silver dots are the pos/neg for the 3rd brake light, not sure if there is a strap. My 05 has those 4 tie down strap for the cargo area.

That odd cap is the breather tube for the front diff.

Oh, so when the door is closed that black box thingy's innards makes contact with the two silver bolts. That makes since now. I thought they held a strap. LOL Thanks for that info. Also thanks for the breather hose info. I'm learning slowly but surely!! :D

That hose sticking up on the grill is a breather hose for the front differential. The cap looking thing is a one way check valve. It lets air out but no fluids in. The black box looking thing under the hood I think is the evap canister for the emission system. With hoses unplugged from it, I'm surprised you don't have any check engine lights.

Good post.
