Is there something missing?

You're missing the plastic part that goes into the channel? That's no bueno. Unfortunately that part by itself you can't get, you'll have the replace the whole thing.

Best replacement is going to be Bestop:

This is fabric only, so you should be able to use your original soft top frame and attach the new fabric to it. This link is for the sail cloth, which is the same as OEM, if you want to spend a premium you can get the twill version. It's supposed to retain temperature better and cut down on noise while being much thicker and better material. It's not going to be quite as robust as the much cheaper sail cloth but if you're not planning on getting it beat up off-road then it's a more luxurious alternative.

Hate to ask, do you have a link to the twill one? I don't plan on beating it up so I think I would rather go with the nicer one. :D

Thanks.

Top of the line, I think most will suggest Bestop (or a new in box OEM, if you can find one), but there are other available.

I bought the Bestop Supertop NX almost 2 years ago. It came with every part I needed to put a soft top on my jeep that came with an aftermarket hardtop.

@danof76 caught it, but I forgot to mention, Bestop makes a replacement top where you reuse your hardware. I had forgot about that.

The kit I bought was a complete kit with all the hardware.

Yah, I'm thinking all the hardware is good. Just need a top that has all the clips to clip into the door areas and such. Plus one that is not really shrunk. LOL

Now I don't need a hard top. I will be happy once it all clips into place. I didn't know it did. LOL What a dunce. :D I think I may go with the first suggested top. The luxury one looks to be a lot more expensive, well at least the one's I found.

The hardware consists of the bows, the header channel with clamps that connects the top to the top of the windshield, the two door surrounds, and a tailgate bar that attaches the rear window to the tailgate. If those are all in good shape, then you just need a new skin and windows.

I'm thinking mine are ok, but I will check them before I order. They are holding the current top on. :D

Keep an eye on CL. Used tops can be had for cheap to get you by. I got mine on CL for $100 complete.

LOL, I mean the header and the rear window bars. LOL There isn't much else holding the rest on. But hey, I haven't got wet driving in the rain yet. LOL The inside does get wet sitting out in it though. I have a towel for the driver seat. :D Good thing is, I park under a carport at home.

Yah, I have actually seen some and I think I will just wait till I can get that nice Twill one.

Just goofing around. Seriously, if all your hardware is in workable condition, you save a ton buying just the replace-a-top.

Do you have a photo of the top over the door with the door open?

Here you go.

The driver side has a piece of the clip on it, but the other one is gone. The passenger side has no clips lift at all. I think I am going to go ahead and order the twill one.

One more question guys. Where can I get a new front bar? I was out looking at mine closer and it is broken in the middle. :(

Considering that you need a new header, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace all the hardware, plus that top is $1,050.00 from Bestop, I think that is the way to go.

That top does also come in spice, which I think looks great on a white TJ, but it is more $$...
