I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler. It has no rear differential vent. I assume it had one and for some reason the previous oner welded over the fitting. Can I simply weld a fitting on the differential cover near the top and attach a vent hose there?
I did't know that, thanks. Brakes are good, but not sure how that works. I don't see anywhere the break T goes into the rear end. Attached is what I have. I'm not the first oner and this may not be the original rearend.

The gear oil residue that attracted all that dirt says that the hole is probably still there and just missing the vent bolt.I did't know that, thanks. Brakes are good, but not sure how that works. OR.. .if you don't mind chinesium... you can get one of these... but I'd really look for the original port first.
