Rear spring bottom isolator pads: Do I need need them?

I removed my stock springs, installing new RE 3.5" Springs, the bottom Spring Isolators broke in half. Do I need them? It's just a thin plastic disc, do they serve a real function? I see how the thicker rubber one on the top likely helps with some vibration. Thoughts? Where best to order them? Thanks

The isolator is on top. The bottom has a thin piece of plastic that snaps into three holes... Presumably to help with metal on metal contact. Mine had them, they were broken, I replaced them

2003 didn't have them.

FWiW, I haven't had the uppers in mine for a couple years. I can't tell a difference.

Mine is a 98, so maybe. Yes, I was referring to the thin plastic discs with the three prongs. Thanks for the feedback Ante_Up. I ordered the Moog Ones.

The purpose they serve is to retain moisture so the lower perch will start rusting. Get rid of them, you won't notice any difference.

I haven’t had them on my 03 Sahara in probably over five years …I’d also agree no porpoise other then to make rust ….

100%. First time i removed this crap, I saw so much rust...
I have removed them.

I think that they are supposed to reduce vibrations and noise from metal to metal contact. The problem is moisture trapping that is caused by them and excessive rust.
This is why I don’t use them

They did use them right up until they didn't in about 2003. I'm not even sure there was consistency in the early years since I have never actually seen these lower discs in person.
