Refurbish hinges.

Hey guys,

What would I need to purchase to replace the inner doo-hickeys on my body hinges? While I’m at it, might as well replace the door pins. Links appreciated.

I had some that were like that. They needed to be removed from the Jeep and drilled out. Just be ready for that. If you can't get the old bushings out cleanly, don't try to hammer or force the new ones in. Otherwise the hinge won't swing like it should and it will be just as hard to pull up and remove the doors = no point in doing it. The new bushings need to go in with light pressure or you will have issues.

If you do remove the hinges, read up on the process beforehand. There is a nut plate that can get out of place and be a problem.

Thanks. I’m hoping this will not be that involved. But, that has not been my experience thus far with this rig. Totally worth it though.
