Hello folks! Need your advice desperately. Sent our 2010 Jeep Wrangler with about 190K clocked in for servicing at Goodyear and they said needed to get our thermostat and radiator replaced ($1.2K) and we did that thinking that they've checked for anything else that needs to be fixed. Three days later, the thermostat went up and we decided to let it cool down before driving it for 3-4 mins before we saw vapour coming out and we stopped. Had the car towed to the same workshop who said that the the 3-4 mins of driving wrecked the engine. They came back the next day saying they sourced out a 2nd hand engine from interstate and could have it fixed within a week - said that a truct will delievr the engine from interstate. We don't have confidence in this workshop because they should have flagged whatever was the issue during servicing. Another workshop offered $14K for a new engine replacement, inclusive of labour costs. Any advice? Appreciate it!
