I just want something stock, not Aluminum. Crown makes some, and Rugged Ridge. Probably many others. Anyone know which ones last? I love the stock, but they’ve faded and I’ve already painted them once and it’s just peeling where they latch.

ive had these on the front of my jeep for a few years now.
no issues other than watch the little plastic retention clips, they break if you try to close the hood with them...
they will send you replacements though if you ask.

These may work for me. I'd actually like something aluminum like this. I'm tired of the stock plastic ones. It's not that they don't work just fine, I just hate how they look like complete shit within a month or two of replacing them with new ones. The black plastic fades very easily in the sun.

I’ve had the Kentrol stainless black powder coated OEM style latch’s on for several years. Great quality, solid latching. They use a rubber band like OEM, so there are no adjustment issues, unless you want to replace with a stiffer band. I had to replace the stock ones and wanted metal vs plastic, and these fit the bill perfectly.

I bought these from Daystar. They are stock looking but MUCH stiffer so no more hood flutter.

Sorry, you're looking for the entire assembly, but if anyone whats to get rid of hood flutter get these.

I have those on my LJ. They're adjustable and they work well. I like the look but the paint (powder coating?) started to flake off in a few spots. I can touch them up and they'll look fine but I shouldn't have to.

I removed them when I painted the Jeep and then took them apart. The rubber sleeves that go over the pivot bolts are a one shot deal, they can't be reused. I cut up a plastic drinking straw and it actually worked better. I haven't had problems with the plastic retention clips but I'll look out for that.
