Has anyone installed the Rugged Ridge rocker guards? I want something that is low profile. Thanks!

Are you looking for just a step to get in and out of the vehicle, or actual protection from the rocks? If it's the latter, that thing won't hold up, it will likely just rip right off.

It's sturdier than you think @Chris. I run it, and it's been on the Rubiconand other trails. It can take a hit, but it's no savvy or Genright protection.
Oh really? Does it bolt on underneath as well?
It looked a bit flimsy, but I'll defer to your knowledge, since you run them!
The Savvy / GenRight ones are where I would spend my money if I really wanted to play in the rocks, but I'm guessing the OP isn't trying to do that.
Yeah, not trying to play in the rocks. Just a little extra protection with the added benefit of a step.
Yeah, I wouldn’t hesitate on the Rugged Ridge’s that @bobthetj03 is running for your purposes. I worried that the step would be too narrow, but he hasn’t complained. @$299 they’re a good deal. Depending on how high your TJ is and how tall or short you may be, the step may or may not be useful.
I’m sure the JCRs are beefier, but probably not necessary for you.
The best functional sliders IMHO are Genright, Savvy, Warn, JCR and TNT. Consider TNT @Chris?

The first hole is the toughest. Get familiar with nutzerts. Another cool feature of them is they have padded gaskets attached to the rockers where they sandwich to the side of the tube to help protect the paint and keep debris out.
