Hello - I have a 2001 TJ and it has 180,000 miles. Live in Northern California (East Bay) and I am the 3rd owner. Since I’ve bought the TJ have put in only 2200 miles.
I cleaned up my engine bay and undercarriage with degreaser this weekend and noticed a lot of rust underneath. Is this something of concern? How do I go about taking care of it or rather stop from getting worse?

Haha I bet tons of guys on here would love that rust problem! As mentioned above, I wouldn't be concerned

Get the wire wheel out and get rid of that rust. Paint over it with some satin black paint and you'll be good to go!

it's a beauty for sure. When you're going at it with the wire wheel, but sure to drop your transfer case skid, there is definitely some rust going on up under there that you want to clean off & paint. Left untreated where you are you could lose that skid plate in another 50-60 years so get on it

Seriously I'd do that right away
