My A/C discharge hose on my 2001 4.0L 6 cyl has been leaking and with the summer basically here I want to replace it and recharge my A/C system. My question is should I add more oil to the system or will oil still be in the compressor and other components? If I do need to add some, should I add the full 8 oz the system requires or just add enough to make up for some that leaked out?

I know A/C can be daunting but I think I've got a pretty good handle on it though a bunch of research but any help will be appreciated! This is the last thing I'm still not sure of.

Thanks!

The volume of oil to add depends on what you're replacing. If it's just a hose then the recommended amount of oil is only one oz. From your manual:
