Having just talked to haggerty about this, as long as you have another vehicle and the one one the policy is listed as "recreational" use, like going to the ice cream shop, Beach, etc, it should be fine. However, 10k miles a year is quite a bit for that use... Not sure how they would keep track of that, but they did ask me my annual mileage

From my understanding, such policies are only for show cars that see very limited use. I put 10K a year on this one.

I have American Classic car ins ( I believe they are a FL company) for my 74 TR6, 81 Corvette and my 05 TJ. $520/year for all 3 combined. I believe you can get an agreed upon value based on what miles you drive a year. I know when I crashed my TR6 into my own work van in my driveway they paid out handsomely.

I take it on trips, I drive it to the grocery store, it goes to dance classes. Blah, blah. I no longer drive it to work as I'm retired.

Finally got my hands on the part from Germany after a minor thrash with Fed-up Ex. Expensive part needed a signature; OK, I'm good with that. Of course, I wasn't home. So I got online and diverted it to the nearest Fed-up Ex "print and ship" office. As requested, I provided my email address and - reluctantly - my phone number. Sat around for 2 days waiting for an email or phone call. Crickets...

Finally called down to their facility, they had had it for a day and a half. Turns out they didn't email me, nor call me. They TEXTED me. All I can say is "REALLY?" Even back when I actually *had* texting, I would NEVER do business via text. Send me an email or even one of those annoying robo-calls.

Bad assumption on their part. Plenty of landlines still around, and not all cell phones have texting enabled. And if the damn thing was turned off...

Anyway, I will call my mechanic on Monday. The box it came in was huge, I had to put it in the passenger seat of the Jeep and it barely fit!

Ok, the left rear control arm/hub assy is in. That's about $2,800, but the rear wheel is running true again. Now just waiting for the body shop to get their parts together, Goddess only knows how long that's going to take.

In the meantime, I can drive it again - its going to Belly Dance tomorrow nite as I'm tired of 15 MPG with the Jeep...
