Soft Top Install Help

I feel like this is a really dumb question but I’m stumped. I just purchased a set of Bestop door surrounds which I’ve installed but when I lower the soft top it hits these pins on the door surrounds.

Am I totally missing something obvious here? I don’t see any holes in that plastic or bar for the “pin” to go into. As far as I know I ordered the right parts.

Those pins are used if you have the sunrider (sunroof) feature. That black block would have a hole for the pin. On my door surround the pull ring is on the inside of the jeep. Could there be a hole in that black block on the inside? If thats the case just turn the pin part around. If there is no hole in that black block then just take the pin assembly off.
