Ok I’m ready to order my top tonight.

I think I’m set on a besttop Trek top, it wanted to see if there are any better options? I’m going to ditch the hard top so this will be my only top.

Just to confirm, black diamond was the material for my year (2004) correct?

Is this the best and cheapest place to order from?

You want the Twill top if you want the best top you can get (and the most quiet / durable as well):

Bestop sells it for $1050 (choose Black Twill from the dropdown), but for whatever reason, Amazon has it listed at $869 here:

That is the best top you can possibly get in terms of Trektop style soft tops. The twill is far superior to the standard fabric. It's the much thicker (and darker) stuff you'll find on high end BMWs and other luxury convertibles.

Definitely Amazon. Not only is it cheaper but it’s quicker as well. Quadratec told me they were on back order and they thought it would take approximately 2-3 weeks before it was delivered. Amazon has it at my door within 4 days. This was back in January so I’m not sure if anything has changed.

Did you get Twill? Those dark black twill tops look so good but damn they are pricey. I just installed a black diamond NX on my TJ last month. I absolutely love it.
