Spartan locker and beach sand

I got a Spartan lunchbox for the front diff for pull in deep beach sand on my TJ 4L Sport. After reading several threads it looks like there is an issue with icy roads and steering but where I live we don't have to worry about that. I did not find much about sand use, specifically deep beach sand, and I'm wondering if anyone can elaborate on their experience/problems with lunchbox lockers (front) in beach sand?

Not at the beach but in deep sand out in the desert it works well. Definitely seems to help with steering and slow starts. I would say in the sand it has almost none of the quirks it can have in other conditions.
