Just got my 1st wrangler.

Ok, I know this is a common problem. I’ve watched videos, read posts and pulled apart the dash.

1) cluster passes the start up test
2) checked the fuses ( behind the box and in the bay)
3) cleaned the connector at the cluster
4) cleaned the connector at the PCM
5) checked continuity from the cluster to c203(green connector)-ok
6) pulled schematics and connector diagrams

I don’t seem to have continuity from PCM to the green connector c203. I’m assuming it’s got something to do with the wire loom in the engine bay.

I want to check C106 ( black 12 pin) but I’m not sure exactly what connector it is. I think I know, but not exactly sure how to disconnect it, and don’t want to break it.

Any thoughts /advice would be appreciated.

A year or so ago all gauges would intermittently drop out while driving. A good smack on top of the cluster would restore them.

Pulled the cluster, cleaned the contacts and a dab of dielectric gel on each pin and the problem has not occurred.

I tried the smack, no luck. I was told it was intermittent, but it has never worked for me.
