Years ago a buddy had a 4.2 with a split header and duals in a CJ. Damn near sounded like a v8 up to about 4500 rpm. Really sounded good. I am considering this route for my 99 with a 4.0 but wonder how will it sound. Has anybody done it here on a 4.0 and has any video of it running. If I can’t get a good sound out of it, I will not do it. I can’t help but think it should sound about the same, but I would like to hear a couple fuel injected 4.0’s with headers and duals before I pull the trigger. By the looks of it, the drivers side tailpipe will be tricky, but the rest does not look too bad. Let’s hear some pipes fellas!

I’ve never heard a good sounding 4.0. I would be shocked if it sounds good. I’ll let you know how these things sound shortly though:

I don’t know how to post a link to u toob, but I typed in something like 258 dual exhaust and found a couple jeeps with headers and true duals. If you look, I am sure you will find It there. Really sounds good. I don’t want the single in and dual out sound. I want the raspy snort.
