I have a 2004 Jeep TJ that is making a weird squeal. I have narrowed it down to a possible drivetrain. The noise stops when I put it in 4x4 . I did d not want to take the drivetrain out since the skid plate is a pain. Any suggestions? I am not 100% sure it the drivetrain

Could be the centering yoke in the DC joint. Commonly referred to as angry sparrows. Read a couple threads about angry sparrows and see if it applies.
As above,check your front driveshaft's CV joint. When it starts going bad it starts chirping/squeeking. When it seizes it'll take the transfer case out by causing it to literally explode
Disconnect the front of driveshaft from the front axle and tie or zip tie it up so it can't fall. Drive it to see if the squeeking stops. If the squeaking stops have the driveshaft rebuilt or replaced by www.4xshaft.com. Don't continue driving it until you isolate the problem to or away from the front driveshaft.

Just to piggyback off of a thread that's already started. I rebuilt my driveshaft about 2 years ago (less than 10,000 miles). Yesterday I drove with the top off and noticed chirping. I wouldn't expect the CV joint going out that fast, is it possible something is wrong with the driveshaft making them go out faster?
I think I'd rather just purchase a tom wood or adams driveshaft than rebuilt it again.

Did you use greaseable u-joints? Do you drive through a lot of water/mud? Either of those would expedite the need for a rebuild.
Non greasable. I noticed when I was rebuilding that it looked like a weight had fallen off but I never feel like it vibrates while driving
When I rebuilt my driveshaft, I used non greasable joints. No problem with the u joints but it looks like the driveshaft has to be set up for non greasable cv yoke. Is this correct? I was just looking on dennys driveline this afternoon and it seems that might be my problem.
