Hello all. So just noticed this am a bit of the angry sparrows squeakiness returning. Back in 2015 I had my front drive shaft rebuilt, using all Spicer non-greaseable parts for the transfer case end of the front drive shaft. The only grease-able joint I received when I ordered Denny's kit was the front ujoint. I had a drive shaft shop rebuild the shaft. So that was in 2015, and only about 10k miles or so. Troubleshooting the squeak this afternoon I greased up the front joint and went for a ride. Squeak still there. on a whim I grabbed the can of wd40 to see if I could isolate it to CV joint. Yep, that silenced the squeak/chirp.
I dont wheel often or hard enough I would think for the center ball to already be toast. I'm also not a big fan of mud, so I'll avoid it as much as I can. Can the non-greaseable center ball be greased, or is it time for another drive shaft rebuild? Once I hear the chirp is it too late for the joint, or can it be cleaned, etc?
Thanks!
