Starter Motor

My starter motor sometimes wouldn't run. So I removed the stater motor assembly and started dismantling the components.
I found one of the magnets in the electric motor (part # 56041914AC) had shattered and small parts of the magnet had attached themselves in various places.
I know I can buy a new stater motor assembly and they are not that expensive but it seems so wasteful to threw away the entire assemble replacement electric motor is available.
I tried RockAuto but they only have the complete unit.

Does anyone know if this part is available?

I think your only hope is to find a company that rebuilds starters. They may be able to fix it. Other than that, I’ve never heard of any way to get parts for a starter.

You need to find a place that rebuilds starters and alternators and see if they can help you..but it's going to be quicker and cheaper to bolt on a reman unit
