Subwoofer replacement using stock amp

Guys,

I want to replace my factory sub (PO replaced this with coaxial speaker) and use stock amp.

What is the correct impedance for sub?

I understand factory sub has dual voice coils, is that important to match this or would single do job?

Most subs I see are 4 ohm.

Have you called or done their chat, they can normally find out factory ohms and give suggestions to what would fit.
Any way sure someone will chime in soon with the answer. I'm guessing dual 8 ohms. It definitely matters to your amp how many ohms you run into it.

Kicker has 4 ohm and 2 ohm 6.75" subs that fit in the TJ console.
I have one with a Kicker 200.1 amp & it sounds great.

If you just want a drop-in replacement, Quadratec sells one. https://www.quadratec.com/products/14133_1001.htm I think the factory is a 2-ohm DVC.

Do you really want to use your stock amp? You realize how much you're missing out on by doing that, don't you?

I replaced mine with this sub (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BLVEZUC/?tag=wranglerorg-20) it works great with the stock amp. I'm sure there is more that it could be with an aftermarket amp but I just wasn't that into spending the extra money on more watts.
